The first few days

Text Box: The First Few Days OK. So she was the main reason for me to travel halfway around the world. This picture was taken that first day in our hotel room. Wow. What a heavy moment THAT was! From moment one, resting on my hip, Katherine decided that “I want to go where SHE’S going…” And that was that. *to experience the land and culture of Vietnam so I would be able to tell Katherine about it someday. To this day, my “Vietnam Story” is her favorite bedtime story... *to view the social projects that my Norfolk sangha sponsored in Hue. We had FRIENDS here! Why just pop over like so many other adoptive families do, then hurry right back home? I closed up shop for two months, and had my brother move in to take care of the dog and cat. And what a wonderful adventure the two of us had!
